Submission guidelines

This forum will be held in person. The trip and accommodation costs of the attendees will be supported by the Conference, up to a maximum of €500 in funding per person for transport and accommodation. A minimum of 40 grants will be granted for non-residents in Melilla, prioritizing candidates who defend a communication (although four authors can be included per paper, the grant will be granted to the person who presents the communication) or who participate in the doctoral colloquium (see page 3 for more information). To access it, it is required:

  1. Registering, if you wish to apply for financing from the Forum, between June 1 and June 30, 2024, attaching the registration payment (this period will not be extended because it is included in the official call for support). To have priority in the support, it is necessary to attach the final version of the communication that will be defended or the summary of the thesis project that will be discussed in the doctoral colloquium.
  2. Make the request for help. The submission of applications will be carried out through the Generic Application procedure of the UGR Electronic Registry ( The request will be addressed to the Dean of the "Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas" in Melilla. Requests that are not submitted in this way cannot be attended to. Regulation require providing a registration certificate to verify the status of non-resident in Melilla.
  3. Anyone who registers after June 30 will not be eligible for financing from the Forum. The registration period, however, will remain open with the following fees:
    • June 1st-July 31st: €90.
    • Until September 30th: €120.

The rest of the attendees will be able to benefit from the new Melilla tourist voucher, which represents approximately a 75% reduction in transport and accommodation ( The information to qualify for this aid will be sent to those people who do not obtain funding from the forum.

In the registration form, the full text of the presentation in Spanish or English must be sent, if applicable. Communications can be submitted from June 1st to June 30th at 11:59 p.m., with a work-in-progress format of a minimum of 4,500 words.

The same author may not appear in more than 3 communications, and a maximum number of 4 authors per communication is established. In addition, attendance at 80% of the sessions presented during the Forum will be required in order to receive a valid certificate and, furthermore, it is a necessary condition to not have to return the aid received if it has been received.

The accepted communications may be included as a book chapter in the influential editorial Dykinson S.L. (Q1 SPI). A period to change/adapt the book chapter, once evaluated in the congress, will be given. The template with the formatting conditions can be downloaded from the official website of the IV Forum.
