Doctoral colloquium

The IV International Tourism Forum organizes its Doctoral Colloquium so that doctoral students in topics related to the Tourism field can submit the approaches and/or results of their research and participate in an exchange of scientific ideas with other more experienced students and researchers. It will be useful to work as a guide in the development of the doctoral thesis, PhD projects will be accepted at the Doctoral Colloquium, not summaries of PhDs already defended (which are more appropriate in the communication formatting).

This Doctoral Colloquium seeks to enhance different skills of students who are carrying out their doctoral thesis, such as their ability to present and disseminate their research results, and at the same time, shedding some ideas and comments which enrich the research of the participants to the Doctoral Colloquium, and which create and expant research collaborations or networks.

Students of a Doctoral Program who wish to participate in this Doctoral Colloquium must register for the IV International Tourism Forum normally within the established period, and send a communication, with the same minimum length as the rest of the participants, which includes:

  • Summary of the PhD or proposal for the research project.
  • Description of the problem or research questions.
  • Background and/or justification of the doctoral thesis.
  • Objectives of the PhD.
  • Description of the proposed methodology.
  • If applicable, results obtained.
  • If applicable, conclusions and limitations of the research.
  • Future lines of research.
  • List of references

The Doctoral Colloquium will be held on October 9, 2025, and participants will have to present the communication described above.
